HD Eyebrows

HD Brows is 7 steps to perfect eyebrows. The therapist uses a range of techniques including tinting, waxing, plucking, trimming, threading and shaping to define and frame your eyebrows, creating an elegant and beautifully defined look.

I would recommend this to anyone who was pluck happy when they were younger and are having trouble growing them back or creating arches or a more defined shape.

All you have to do is look at Cher Lloyd's progress since she first started getting the HD brow. Her features look so much softer and has totally changed the shape of her face.

I am quite fortunate that I have a good eyebrow shape. I must admit I was a bit pluck happy during my college years, so I decided to let them grow for a year to get back to my natural shape. After I grew them, I decided to see what the HD fuss was about but the technician advised me that HD eyebrows wouldn't make a major difference to me as my eyebrows are naturally shaped, they just needed to be touched up every now and then.

So I decided to DIY it and save myself a bit of money and hassle. If you don't want to fork out £50 on a HD eyebrow, why not do it yourself. Let your eyebrows grow to get back your natural shape. I know this can be difficult but its definitely worth it. Once they have grown and you have something to work with you can create beautiful thick and defined brows.

As you can see below, my eyebrows are quite long and they are slightly out of shape. This is about two months since I got them threaded last. Threading is the most amazing hair removal ever as it creates such a natural look. This costs me only £3 to get done and takes about one minute to do.  As part of the process they also trim your eyebrows, to ensure the hairs are all the same length to create a tidier and more even shape. As you can see in the first picture below I have a bit of a "cows lick" so trimming it can really tidy up your brow and define the shape. With this I only have regrowth after about 2 months. No joke!

BEFORE:

Even though my eyebrows are quite dark, I find that when you tint them it adds definition and fills in your eyebrow creating the illusion that they are thicker. Like most people, the hairs on my inner eyebrows are very light and I have to always pencil it in, like above to create shape. When I tint my eyebrows I don't need to continuously pencil in my eyebrows so is a lot less work.

I bought Eylure in boots. Its about £5.50 and its really easy to use. I bought it in black but you can also buy in light brown. Even though I have blonde hair I like my eyebrows to be darker. Cara Delevingne is my brow inspiration.

My friend swears by Refectocil she finds that this lasts a lot longer. This is salon tint but you can get it for really cheap on this link.

I like to use an old mascara brush to apply the tint, as sometimes the wand you get with the kit is very weak. Also put vaseline all around the outside of your eyebrows so that the tint doesn't stain your skin.

When you have the tint on it can look quite dark. Don't panic. I only leave it on for about 30 seconds. It depends on how dark you want to go. As I said before, as my eyebrows are dark I really just want to fill in the gaps especially on my inner brows where they are a bit fairer to create a more defined look. The tint should last at least three to four weeks.

Voila, you have HD eyebrows on the cheap. Your tint kit will last your months and you will only need to get your eyebrows tidied up every 6 weeks or more.
