Food Diary Day 13: New Year New You






Unfortunately I was sick today and had to come home from work early! Had a bit of a sleep and feel a bit better! Hopefully I will be back on track tomorrow!

The only real meal I had today was soaked oats! 

Soak Gluten free oats in almond milk and Greek yoghurt in a container overnight or just soak in water.

Put in a container in fridge. Takes approx 3 hours to set.

Wake up and eat or cook! add fruit on top if you want!



Why soak?

Soaking breaks down the enzymes and in turn the phytic acid. It is the phytic acid in the oats that reacts with other nutrients and blocks absorption. This is not great for digestion! By soaking the oats you start the process of breaking down the phytic acid so your body can absorb all the nutrients.
