Wedding Style

Wedding season over for this year! So many beautiful brides (and flower girl). Lisa Buckley you are up next!

Thanks to Kirsten and Mick Clancy for a beautiful wedding in Dingle. Mick is one lucky guy!!!

With so many weddings this year it is just not affordable to be spending a fortune on every outfit. Especially when you will probably never wear it again. I couldn't find a dress I liked so I went with a skirt and top that I found on ASOS for under 60 pound:-

Navy Top- ASOS-
Floral Skirt- ASOS
Pink sandals- ZARA

Style Diary-Little Black Dress

Had another wedding this weekend. I wore a black Solace dress which I bought from ASOS in November. I matched it with black strappy heels with white heels from Zara and a black and white Zara bag for a monochrome look.

Monochrome

Solace dress: £110
ASOS shoes: £30
Zara Bag: £30

The original dress had a deep V neck line so I got my housemate to sew it up for me a little as it wouldn't stay in place.

Wedding Style Diary

Two Very Special People-One Special Day

A special day to remember with good times to last,
With memories which will be remembered long after it's past.

Wishing my big brother Daniel and my new sister in law Aimee every happiness on their new journey in life .

We had our first family wedding at the weekend in Shropshire in a beautiful private country house called Iscoyd Park. Everything about the day was perfect, the setting, the weather, the bride and the beautiful little flower girl Florence.

What I wore?

I think everyone would agree that it is so bloody stressful trying to find an outfit for a wedding. I got my dress last minute as I was waiting for all the winter sales to finish and the spring trends to arrive.

The night before the wedding I wore a floral Missguided jumpsuit! I love this jumpsuit but unfortunately the zip is a joke and it broke half way through the night.

Weekend Food Diary

Hope ye all had a good weekend. I thought I would share with you some of the meals I had over the weekend. I am currently bulking (trying to put on extra lean muscle) so I am trying to in-take a lot of protein and try eat a lot more than I usually would. I am not doing cardio for a month so I can put on extra muscle, which I am must admit I am loving. However, I do feel guilty from time to time and even though I am enjoying it I am looking forward to getting  leaner and having some abs again!

Savoury Protein Pancake:

Pancake:

In a bowl mix one egg or two egg whites, baking powder, pinch of cinnamon and sea salt, gluten free oats, half a banana, coconut flour- add in some vanilla protein shake if desired.

Make in small batches.

Topping:

Poached eggs, spinach, mushroom, sun dried tomato

Crustless Mini Quiches

I recommend making these for your snacks. Add chicken or turkey mince.

Mix up eggs, and whatever filling you would like. I add some coconut flour and a pinch of pink Himalayan salt. Add to dish and bake for 15-20 minutes. Add tomato and feta cheese for toppings.

Store in lunch box to have for snacks.

Gluten Free Sandwich

Butternut Squash Soup

It was a bit chilly this weekend so I needed some soup to warm me up. Click on this link for recipe.

http://thechicphysique.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/food-diary-day-11-new-year-new-you.html

Add greek yoghurt instead of cream.

Turkey Steaks

Homemade Quick Pizza

On a wrap or gluten free wrap, using a tin of tomatoes spread across as a base, add cooked chicken breast, spinach, mushroom and feta cheese and bake in the oven for 15 minutes. Cut it up and bring for a snack or lunch.

Workout:

Got new workout clothes! New Nike bra top and Nike leggings! Love them!

Do New Workout Clothes Motivate You?

Do you think new gym clothes motivate you?

Personally, I think they do. When I get something new I am excited about wearing it and more inclined to go workout rather than make excuses. Even though I work out on my own in our garage, I just believe the more confident you feel, the more inclined you are to go to the gym and work on getting the results you are looking for. Once you start looking good you want to start to dress the way you feel.

I am not one of those people who spends a fortune on the likes of Lululemon and Sweaty Betty (even though presents are welcome). I am a big believer in that you don’t have to spend a lot to look good. I get my workout clothes mostly from Sports Direct or on Amazon. I also find JD Sports Pro have really nice gear for reasonable price. My tip is that if you see an item in the shop like Nike Store, search for it on Amazon as you are more than likely to get it for a lot cheaper. However, when it comes to runners I think they are more of an investment.

I am a massive fan of Nike, I think every item I own is Nike to be honest. Recently I purchased these Nike pro leggings, and bra top on sale at Sports Direct. I also got a body warmer (its cold in the garage) which is great in the mornings when its freeeeeeeezing.

A lot of the time I will just buy shorts and tops from Primark in different colours.

Other motivation techniques:

If you are working out on your own, I think wearing a crop or bra top and working out in front of a mirror is another great motivation technique. At the beginning you can see all your trouble/jiggly areas and you are immediately motivated to work out even harder to try improve your physique and then when you start seeing your progress you are motivated even more again. It is also good to see that your technique is correct and you are engaging your core with every exercise.
